A brief CV of the Albanian Muslim Community (AMC) Chairman Skender Bruçaj
Skender Bruçaj was born in Malesia e Madhe district on June 22, 1976.
After completing the obligatory 8-year education in his hometown, he became part of the first contingent of students sent to Turkey by the Muslim Community of Albania in 1992.
Thus, in 1996 he was graduated by the Beykoz madrasa in Istanbul, Turkey. Later on, he studied at the Institute of Foreign Languages at the University of Bosphorus, where after getting the certificate of the English language he continued his studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences – Psychology branch.
During 2010-2011, he attended his postgraduate studies, and is currently pursuing the doctoral studies on “Quality Management in Education.”
He has worked for several years as a consultant for many foreign companies.
In 2008 he was appointed as Director of the Career Planning Center at Epoka University.
In September 2008 he was appointed by the Muslim Community as Chairman of the Dossier Drafting Committee for the foundation of “Bedër” University. With the opening of the university, he began giving lectures as a professor in the Faculty of Humanities in the Department of Islamic Sciences and Justice in three languages: Albanian, English and Turkish.
During the period September 2011-December 2013, along being a lecturer in Social Psychology and Psychology courses at Islamic University, he has also been the foreman of the Department of Justice and Deputy / Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at”Bedër”University.
Skender Bruçaj has also been Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Training at “Bedër” University.
Recognizing his vast academic preparation, the Albanian Muslim Community Presidency, appointed him in December 2013 as a vice president of Albanian Muslim Community.
Mr. Bruçaj has participated in many national and international conferences, as a referee on behalf of”Bedër” University and Muslim Community of Albania.
He speaks several foreign languages such as English, Turkish and Italian.
Mr. Bruçaj is married and has two (male) children.
