The Muslim Community Presidency consists of the President, the vice Presidents, the Chancellor, the Mufti of Tirana and Chiefs of Departments.
The Presidency is a collegial organ which takes its decisions by majority vote, through open voting processes, with the presence of two thirds of its members.

COMPETENCIES OF PRESIDENCY
The Presidency of the Albanian Muslim Community (AMC), holds relationships and collaborates with the Albanian State, with other religious communities and Islamic associations, as well as it concludes agreements of mutual collaboration and subsidies with these state organs and religious organizations, both internally and abroad.
The Presidency of Muslim Community daily pursues ongoing work and activities of all departments, sectors and local Muslim Community Centers. It organizes religious ceremonies and receptions in occasions of various religious holidays and visits made to the Muslim community headquarters.
The Presidency can propose to the General Council to amend the Statute, the Founding Act and the Internal Regulation of the Albanian Muslim Community.
The Presidency proposes to the General Council at least two candidates for President of the Albanian Muslim Community.
It defines the organizational structure and the number of religious and civil officers of the Muslim Community and of local Muslim Community Centers and takes decisions on changes in its internal structure, organics, number of employees and send them for approval by the General Council at its first regular meeting.
It organizes the Muslim Community administration and monitors and controls its daily operations.
It appoints and dismisses all religious and civil officers according the organizational structure and the organics and for each local Muslim Community Center.
According to the Mufti proposal, it appoints the imams, religious lecturers, muezzins and khateebs.
It determines the salaries for every workplace according to the function and gives bonuses.
It decides about the establishment of pre-university and undergraduate schools of all levels, and of Islamic religious courses, according to the legal acts and regulations of the Republic of Albania in field of pre-university education system and higher education.
It decides about school and extra-school textbooks publishing, of both religious and non-religious content, of religious, social and literary magazines publications, both in Albanian and foreign languages.
It determines the conditions for sending the pupils and students to study abroad.
It gets into analysis the economic and financial indicators, the property issues, and the Control and Audit reports submitted by the respective departments and standing committees of the General Council.
By the proposal of local Muslim Community Centers and of the Waqf- Investments Department, the Presidency of the Muslim Community of Albania decides for the construction of new mosques and other important buildings throughout the territory of the Republic of Albania.
For every submitted content or proposals, the Presidency takes the respective decision.
The Presidency of the Albanian Muslim Community organizes joint religious celebrations, meetings, symposia and conferences with other tariqa-s of the Islamic faith.
